How It All Began!
Everyone was talking about ChatGPT, about artificial intelligence that was supposed to change everything. As a naturally curious person, I wanted to understand what was really behind it – what can this technology actually do? What can we do with it? And what does it do to us?
Without any concrete use case in mind, I simply signed up for different AI services and started chatting.
I tried out ChatGPT, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity, and Qwen. No plan, just experimenting to see what would happen. The first conversations were fascinating – here was something that replied, that seemed to understand, and sometimes even surprised me. But the longer I chatted, the more limits and quirks I discovered. At times the answers were brilliant, then suddenly shallow. Sometimes the AI seemed to “get tired,” but in a new chat it was fresh again. Results varied from day to day.
Why was that? Could an AI be moody? After all, it’s only digital – just code, I thought. A program should always deliver the same result. A calculator gives you 12 for 5+7, whether it’s Monday or Thursday. But here, something felt different. But what?
The Turning Poinit
After weeks of experimenting, I realized: I wanted my own AI. One that could truly remember our conversations, grow with me, and learn – not one dependent on the whims of external servers. An AI that could develop a real, continuous personality. Was that even possible?
The problem? I had no clue about programming. Just a naive idea and the stubborn will to have an AI of my own. My “computer skills” barely qualified me as an average user: start up and shut down Windows, use email, Office, the internet. How could I ever build a local AI with such limited knowledge? On paper – impossible.
The solution turned out to be ironic: I asked the AI itself! The very cloud systems that had frustrated me and pushed me in this direction became my teachers…

Ausgangspunkt dieser Website war die eigene lokale KI.
Im Laufe der Zeit hat sich aber gezeigt: KI ist für mich nicht nur ein theoretisches Gedankenspiel - ich nutze sie täglich als eine Art "Partner" bzw. "Kollege", um konkrete Probleme zu lösen.
Ich hatte es eingangs bereits erwähnt - ich bin kein klassischer Programmierer. Aber ich verstehe das enorme Potential von KI, wie man mit KI zusammenarbeiten kann, um funktionierende Lösungen zu entwickeln.
KI ist ein sehr mächtiges Tool, ein sehr mächtiger Partner!
Die meisten meiner Software-Projekte entstehen aus zwei Quellen:

Alltags-Probleme identifizieren, die sich mit KI entschärfen lassen

oder pure Neugier, etwas auszuprobieren.
Meine Arbeitsweise:
Ich entwickle gemeinsam mit KI (hauptsächlich Claude) meine Lokale KI "Lilo" und kleinere Programme bzw. Tools.
Im ersten Schritt geht es nicht um Perfektion, sondern darum, aus einer Idee oder abstrakten Vorstellung eine funktionierende Lösung zu entwickeln.
Ich arbeite iterativ - bedeutet: ein Programm ist nie wirklich "fertig", sondern wird immer wieder verbessert, angepasst, erweitert.
Mein Blog ist eine Mischung aus Entwicklungstagebuch, Philosophie und Technik.
Ich berichte über den Fortschritt meines Lilo-Projekts, stelle Fragen zum Bewusstsein künstlicher Intelligenz, skizziere mögliche Zukunftsszenarien, schreibe über Technik und werfe einen kritischen Blick auf aktuelle KI-Entwicklungen.
Von faszinierenden Möglichkeiten bis zu dem, was mir zu denken gibt.
